pArtypants!!!2008 is a huge success
YOU ALL CAME..in a wonderful array of decorated pants and joined in the party spirit to make pArtypants 2008 a very special celebration and THE SOCIAL EVENT of the year to cap Mental Health Awareness Week. Sammys venue was full to capacity as Frank Gordan the ringmaster and director of Artsenta kicked off the show with local covers band 'Random' playing the music. Special Guest (Rob West) former host of 5 previous Artypants shows emerged out of a sawn in half magic box...luckily unscathed and in one piece...though minus his shoes?????? Our sawn in half heroine 'IRENE' was forthcoming with her golden heels and Rob was able to go down off stage and join in the carnival with you good folks in all your colourful attire. There was candyfloss,' Happy as Larry' the magician had all intrigued, whilst Poppy Longstocking gave out an endless supply of chocolate bars from her lofty height. The spot prizes given out throughout the night were very popular as was the photo booth and the juggler. The response to the ringmasters call for people to come up for a pants parade was overwhelming but Frank managed to keep his tophat on (just) amongst the myriad of dancing pants on stage. Random then played ... there was dancing , singing (thankyou Jason) and a good time was had by all. The evening wound up with wows ...whaT A FANTASTIC PARTY...the best ever...and happy faces as people clutched their souvenir designer label tiny pants given out as they went out the door.
