Creative writing happens every
Monday 2 - 3pm. after Movie Matinee We are usually a small group led by Greta that gather and writes around the oval table in the downstairs part of Arrtsenta where the sun streams through the windows both summer and winter. For inspiration we can experiment with a variety of forms and processes:- writing exercises which can be fun with unexpected outcomes,reading and sharing other writers work, writing in different styles both traditional and contemporary, adopting different voices and personas,juggling with words and phrases dropping them then picking different ones up and mixing them up. Creative writing can be poetry rhyming or not, short stories or prose, haphazard word happenings or you may just like some feedback on some writing you have done or enjoyed reading. Come along and join in as writing can be an isolating and quite abstract art form at the best of times so it's good to have a community of fellow writers for inspiration and support.
