There is the opportunity to learn the basic techniques of building up clay structures whether it be on the potters wheel or using hand techniques such as pinching, coiling, slabwork or working with moulds. We have an electric kiln at Artsenta and an assortment of coloured slips and underglazes for enhancing surface and texture. Combined with the two claybodies available -Abbots red and Abbots white and a small selection of favourite Artsenta glazes - Jade, Blue Heaven and Toffee -apple some exciting results emerge from the kiln . Earthwork classes happen every Wednesday 10.30-12.30. Greta is on hand to help you translate your ideas into clay. |
