Artsenta Activities

Artsenta always has a lot of different art and music projects on the go.  You can come to Artsenta and get started on a project that interests you or you can enjoy some inspiraton and guidence by joining in on our regular weekly sessions.

People's projects at Artsenta are amazingly varied, when people first come they might make a beaded bracelet, do some mosaics, paint or draw, learn to sing a favourite song or join in on the monthly theme.  The monthly themes are activities that are always available to be taught for a month.  We have done Oamaru Stone sculpting, kite making, candle and candle holder making, felting and the list goes on.  The activity of the current month is on our home page.

Artsenta works for people who have never had much chance to do creative things and for people experienced in music or art.  There is so much happening here people soon find themselves doing things they never could have imagined they could.  People with specific skills in art or music can find the tuition and resources to extend what they already know.

As well as the activities described above and below Artsenta regularly goes on trips to galleries or collecting treasures on the beach.  We do have parties, concerts and participate in things like the Fringe Festival and have exhibitions both within Artsenta and in the community.
